Cafe Chat

Hello "Cafe" Friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week. Personally, I am exhausted this week as I started teaching Pre-K again. I am pretty much walking around in tired mode for most of the day, but that will change when I get used to my routine. I am sharing all this information with you because my question for today will be simple, but as always packed with a lot of meaning.

Please share your favorite Bible verse, or at least one of your favorite Bible verses with the Cafe community today. Why is this verse meaningful to you?

Blessings to you all today, and don't forget to visit each other's blog/websites :)

I was a little discouraged this morning and just loved these verses (3-6)from Psalm 37 that just "happened" to be in my daily reading.

Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.

My blog post today was about the joys and challenges of homeschooling.

I confronted a situation and was scared I was making a mistake, like maybe my pride was getting the best of me. Then God so wonderfully told me in Proverbs today,

"Discretion shall watch over you, understanding shall keep you" (2.11).

As long as I daily cling to Him, He will wonderfully guide me with His wisdom!

My blog today is about pouring yourself out into the lives others! http://faithimagined.blogspot.com

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." James 1:2-3

I listed this as my one of my favorites and least favorites. I find it easy to lean on during times when my spirit is strong but difficult to hear when my flesh is strong.

My post about this is on my blog: www.underthegoldenappletree.blogspot.com THANKS!!!

For me that was an easy question. Of course we all love the Word and find many scriptures that guide, comfort and motivate us, but to answer your question here's mine. Prov. 31:25-28: She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat of the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed.

Through storms, fiery furnaces, and heartaches, I have learned to put all the weight of my trust in the Lord and His leading, that He would get the glory out of all my life. Therefore, I have hung my life on this verse...

"Did I not tell you and promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would see the glory of God?" John 11:40 AMP

Amen!

My absolute favorite verse is this:
"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

What a comfort to know that God has a plan for our lives, sometimes the toughest part is to trust Him, but when we do put our trust in Him how much better is it? It is so AWESOME to know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for each and everyone of us, that is SO amazing!

Morning all! I have 2 favorites - my first:
Sing to the Lord for He has done Excellent Things! (Isaiah 12:5)

Be still, and know that I am God! (Psalm 46:10)

These verses remind me to thank Him for all that I have and for all that He does for us.

The 2nd verse reminds me daily - just be still and let God work His magic!

They are my constant/daily reminders that I am not in control!

"...for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him." Matt 6:8

I need this verse right now because I have been diagnosed with bladder cancer and it is so comforting that He knows everything that I will need to get through this and to glorigy Him.

"Trust in the Lord in all thy ways, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

Yep, learned the KJV and it's what sticks with me. He gives us direction, no matter how many twists and turns our lives take. But we have to ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND LISTEN! (Given our human inclination for stubbornness and doing it our way, sometimes this is easier said than done!)

For me it is Jeriamah 29:11. This reminds that, even in what I consider bad times, God has a plan and it is not a plan that is meant to do me ill-will. It does not mean that I will always have an easy life. If fact some of my greatest lessons have come from my toughest times. Also there are some tough times that have made me who I am through leaning on God and going through them.

Psalm 139 is my favorite passage because it stresses how much God absolutely surrounds each of us with His unfailing love--before birth, in spite of failure, and in all circumstances. God loves us each always!

Thanks to a friend of mine, I'm joining this group. My cat and I live together in a western suburb, and I'm writing for the first time. I have more to learn in THIS life and could use more interaction with positive, upbeat friends.
