Cafe Chat - August 2, 2008

What is one thing that you absolutely love about friendships? Why? On the other side, what is one thing that you find absolutely difficult when it comes to friendships? Why?

One of God’s greatest gifts to me has been the wonderful friends He has brought into my life. True friendship can bring such joy, and on the flip side, pain at times. True friendship requires us to go deep at times and that can hurt, but I have found that through the “difficult” times my friendships have been strengthened. I look forward to reading your answers, and make sure to tell your friends that you love them this week.

Blessings,
Kim

The one thing I absolutely love about friendships is the sense of being "family" with someone who is not a blood relative.

The one thing I find so difficult is keeping it up! I'm a writer and not a phone person, so don't often do a good job at working on my friendships as hard as I need to.

Everything worth anything takes a lot of work...and that includes friendships.

One of the things I'm working on is trying to show God how grateful I am for every friendship and strive to honor Him with them. I don't always succeed, but I'm working on it! :-)

Another good question Kim. As I thought about it, I realized I had the same answer to both parts.

Today I want to bless each and every one of my earthly friends and also remember "What a friend we have in Jesus"

to be blessed with a true friendship is like winning the lottery...it can bring an abundance of riches to your life however, if spent frivilously, it can leave you empty handed. cherish your friendships!

Well, for me, friendship is a relationship between two or more souls without reducing the value of each soul. Each person has his/her own uniqueness and we can not force someone to become what we want to be. I have several best friends and we are not always peacefully making friends. We sometimes argue and mad, but we still love each other. We finally realize that we have our own character and we are not trying to change others.

I love hanging out with my friends and doing many exciting things with them. We sometimes do many silly things, but we are okay with that. We sometimes make mistakes but we forgive each other. We never interfere each other's private businesses, but we care each other. We could share and support each other. That's really cool!

I think the process of becoming friend is sometimes difficult, because each person has their own policy and we sometimes trying to combine and tolerance our policy to adjust the difference. But after the processes done, Voila! we become really solid.

It's good to make a friendship. I like the proccess and the relationship it made.

Another great question, Kim. I loved the opportunity to think about my friends this morning and what they each mean to me. You're doing a great job!
