Where Do Babies Come From?

(Psalm 127: 3)"Don't you see that children are God's best gift..."

“Momma, where do babies come from?” (Squirm.... and I could feel the perspiration popping out on my forehead, and nausea setting in. )He just can't be old enough to ask me this question, can he?
It really is a simple answer so why is it that I could just feel my heart skip a few beats? I knew that my answer was really something simple and something that should be honoring God but outside of that, I just didn’t know how it would roll off my tongue as such. For at that moment, my tongue grew very heavy. I felt as if I would choke on my own words. But it's simple, right?!

After all, babies come from heaven.

But we all dread that day, the day when our precious little ones will ask, “Where did I come from?’ or ‘Did the Stork really bring me, mom?” Some of us want to get all technical. Maybe that is just the nurse in me; I want to go into way-too-much-detail as my daughter tells me. When the beauty of it is—we come from Him, we belong to Him and we will return to Him.

This reminds me of a story of a little girl and her baby sister. The older child begged her parents for some time alone with her little sister. Reluctantly for fear of not knowing the reason why, the parents finally agreed to let the older child have alone time with the younger child but left a baby monitor present in the baby’s room. After a period of time, the parents heard their older daughter say to the younger daughter, “tell me about Heaven,’ she whispered. ‘I’m forgetting.”

Where do Babies come from?

That is easy!
Have you ever thought about it? Where were we before we were born? Interesting reflection!
("Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you..." )Jer 1:5

Connie, this reminds me that I am His daughter. My earthly story is that I was an accidental conception, albeit I was loved deeply after I was born. But the Father loved me and created me on purpose. I was not His accident! And someday I will return to Him. Thanks.

It's such a comfort to know that before we ever spiritually or physically existed that we were in the mind and on the heart of God.

It is also a comfort to know we never existed in heaven before our birth on earth. That designation belongs to one alone - Jesus Christ.

Ahhhhhh... simple to US! Would that the little ones would accept that as the answer in it's entirety!!!

Oh Connie...I loved that! Heaven and the reality of it is one place I don't want to forget...after all..."we have more to go to heaven for than we had yesterday" as the song says. Heaven is being enjoyed by our loved ones...and I plan to enjoy it myself!
How thankful I am for that promise and hope!
Connie---this blessed me tremendously today!!!
