The Trumpet
I believe the Bible.
I believe every word.
I think Noah really built an ark. I think Moses really split the Red Sea in two. And I think Sarah really had a baby when she was 99 years old.
{I also think God has a great sense of humor}.
I also believe in these words, more today than ever before. And I don't find them a bit funny:
“But let me tell you a wonderful secret God has revealed to us. Not all of us will die, but we will all be transformed. It will happen in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, the Christians who have died will be raised with transformed bodies. And then we who are living will be transformed so that we will never die. For our perishable earthly bodies must be transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die.” 1 Corinthians 15:51-53
With our faltering economy and stumbling job market, our extreme weather and threats from enemies of Israel, I can't help but think that these are the End Times the Bible tells us about.
We don't know when this Great Event will happen. But we are to watch and wait, we are to be ready.
“So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he would keep watch and not permit his house to be broken into. You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.” Matthew 24:42-44
I'm just like you. I get caught up in my little world. I'm busy with my children and bustling home. There are days, weeks even, that I don't think about the Rapture of the Church. I don't watch and I don't wait. Because I'm too busy to see the signs.
But I don't feel like we can ignore the strange happenings in our world any longer.
Because I think that trumpet is being polished. Right now.
Pray this with me,
"Heavenly Father, I believe Your Word. I believe you will return for those who have put their trust in you. Help me to watch and to wait. Help me to tell others about your pending return. Thank you for giving us these promises to hold onto in these unsteady times. Amen."
"Heavenly Father, I believe Your Word. I believe you will return for those who have put their trust in you. Help me to watch and to wait. Help me to tell others about your pending return. Thank you for giving us these promises to hold onto in these unsteady times. Amen."

Sweet blessings to you dear.
So true!!! I study end times and you are so right.
I love that...the trumpet is being polished...
Thank you for heralding our Savior!

There is a book that has been written that is not yet out in stores called Birth Pangs. This book relates the end times to that of the pregnancy and labor of a woman. It's an amazing read. I voiced the audio book and was unable to stop reading until my voice gave out. Anyway, I believe you can get it through the publisher, Tatepublishing.com. It makes sooo much sense and I love the female reproductive analogy.
Oh, there's no doubt in my mind. That's why one of my favorite haunts in fulfilledprophecy.com . There's so much more going on that most people realize. Thanks for calling attention to it.
What a beautiful post! Thank you!
Yes, Amen.
I agree 100%! That glorious trumpet has been taken out of storage and is indeed "being polished." Great post. :)
Amen and preach it, sista'! Great verses and an even better reminder of things to come.
Amen - thank you for the verses, AND the reminder.
I've been thinking a lot about this lately. Thank you for your post!
Amen
Yup... He's a comin'. Don't know when, but my guess is on a Jewish Holy Day.
Sure inspires me to teach the Word to my kids even stronger.
Have you heard the song, "Fingerprints and Noses"?? It's beautiful.
How about, "Fly Away" (not the oldtimey song "I'll Fly Away")??
Once I heard Max Lucado pray,
"We long for your appearing, Lord...
in fact, we invite you to interrupt this prayer with your appearance..."
Amen. Love your blog. Thanks for being a light.
You're definitely right. Part of me feels fearful for this happening, not for ME, but for nonbelievers.
Great post. Very well written and thought provoking.
The Rapture isn't a topic I ponder often, but you got me thinking.
Amen - you got it. So very, very true.
We are on the same page!!
