It is really analogous of how God has rescued all of us from some sort of negative thing, whether it be addiction, abuse, loneliness and has adopted us into His family. It reminds me of how important it is as a Christian to be loving and more Christ-like.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02536578494194234464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3027179631891898735.post-3215326117481077072008-02-21T10:15:00.000-06:002008-02-21T10:15:00.000-06:00Elaine,Your adoption story as well as all of the a...Elaine,
Your adoption story as well as all of the above stories have me simply sitting in awe! Really. I just smile when I think of how God's heart must be so blessed as He watches each of you take people into your families - just as He did with us. What a testimony! What a true reflection of the Father's love for us. So beautiful! I knew I wanted to adopt when I grew up because I saw how he loved me and wanted to share that love as well. My hubby and I have adopted our little girl from the foster care system (she is 4 and came to us at 9 mos., severely neglected and abused) and we are now in the midst of a private adoption of a 6mos. old girl who's birth I was Blessed to attend and who's birth parents we are now friends with. They could not be more mine - because they were a gift from God Himself!
Adoption truly is a message of the Gospel, my Daddy made me see my Father's love so clearly. I can't wait to see how my girls grow in this love that we give from HIM.
Thank you for sharing!beckyjomamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08353794918193848933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3027179631891898735.post-34259438970199040592008-02-21T04:56:00.000-06:002008-02-21T04:56:00.000-06:00Elaine,I love your story! I think it is awesome how God has called your family to this. 18 kids, I can't imagine...our lives were turned upside-down with the addition of just one little orphan.

God's heart of adoption is so beautiful, I feel I understand it just a little bit more now. :)

You inspire me!
SuePraise and Coffeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18273673325959351521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3027179631891898735.post-37209556939141559902008-02-21T00:22:00.000-06:002008-02-21T00:22:00.000-06:00Thank you for such an awesome post.Thank you for such an awesome post.Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09275456448997619944noreply@blogger.com
