Socks & My Savior

I've got cold feet. And I'm not talking about getting married, I took that plunge joyfully.

No, I literally have cold feet. Our kitten, Roloff, has stolen all of my socks. Unless his little body managed to pull a boa constrictor move and swallow my socks whole; I've no idea where they could be.

I've searched high and low. Behind couches and under cabinets. In closets and out on the patio. The laundry room and the living room.

My socks are gone.

The interesting thing is that each morning when I wake up, there in the middle of the living room floor is ONE pair of socks.

Little Roloff seems to know ahead of time what I am going to need for the day. And willingly offers what I will need to keep my feet warm.

The Lord has really been speaking to me through the actions of my feline friend.

Sometimes it seems my need outweighs my have.

In those moments I search high and low looking for what I know I will need tomorrow and am always humbled to find the Lord knows.

He knows.

And each morning, in plain sight, is His provision for what I will need today.

"And my God will supply all your needs

according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:19

What I need will be here. Waiting. Warming me through and calling me on to further pursuit of the One who is able to supply all of my needs in Christ Jesus.

It will be there for you too.

Roloff laughing at my cold feet!

What a RIOT, Kristen! (but think of how much COLDER your toes would be if you were on the East Coast ;) ) But it takes YOU to find that wonderful lesson. I needed it too, of course. Excellent.
